Cathedral Square’s mission is to create healthy homes, caring communities and positive aging.
We are a non-profit, statewide organization, created in 1977 by the Cathedral Church of St. Paul as a social justice ministry. We serve over 900 residents in 24 communities. Our housing communities range in size from 5 units to 112. A majority of our housing is for seniors; however, CSC has developed several projects for special needs populations, for parents with dependent children who are enrolled in a post-secondary education program and for young women ages 16 – 21 who are parenting one child under 5 years of age, homeless or soon to be homeless. CSC has participated in a number of projects in Addison, Caledonia, Chittenden, Franklin, Lamoille, Orange, Washington, Windham, and Windsor counties. CSC also operates the only licensed Assisted Living Residence in northwestern Vermont.
We provide HUD subsidized, tax credit and market rate housing options. While each community is unique, all CSC communities combine excellent supportive services and a caring staff.
