Age We’ll is a gateway to services and information to help seniors age with independence and dignity. CVAA Case Managers work with seniors to help them access services and programs to keep them in their homes for as long as it is safely possible. Case Managers enroll seniors in Choices for Care, fuel assistance, food stamps, and Medicare/Medicaid. CVAA also provides nutrition services with Meals on Wheels and Senior Community Meals. In addition, CVAA offers transportation grants and caregiver respite. Over 850 volunteers including MOW drivers and friendly visitors provide seniors with help with everyday errands from grocery shopping, to yard work and friendly visits. The State Health Insurance Program (SHIP) offers Medicare and insurance counseling. Successful Aging Programs are conducted by CVAA around the Champlain Valley to help seniors stay mentally alert, connected to their communities, and physically active from strength training classes, walking clubs, computer classes, and health promotion programs. The Senior Helpline (1- 800-642-5119) is a one stop shop for information and referrals on senior issues. CVAA serves seniors 60 and older in Addison, Chittenden, Franklin, and Grand Isle counties.
